BRITISH CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL SUPPLIER GRS GROUP EXPANDS ECONIC FLEET.
Following the delivery of three additional tipper vehicles, GRS Group now has the largest Econic fleet in the United Kingdom. One key reason for the company's loyalty to the Econic is the truck's comprehensive all-round field of view, which meets London’s strict Direct Vision Standard with room to spare for tougher future requirements.
MORE POWER FOR MEGAPROJECTS.
GRS Group is one of the leading independent building materials suppliers in the United Kingdom. They have around 800 employees and move around 20 million tonnes of material every year, so performance is key. The GRS fleet now includes a total of 15 Econic vehicles. The three most recently purchased 3235 tipper vehicles are being used near the River Thames for the construction of the HS2 high-speed railway.
BETTER SIGHT-LINES FOR BETTER SAFETY.
Safety plays a major role in UK transport policy. The Econic really comes into its own here as it is renowned for providing an outstanding all-round view. The low seat position means that the driver can make direct eye contact with pedestrians and cyclists without any trouble. This gives the truck the highest rating as specified in the London Direct Vision Standard – a full five stars.

DRIVER FOCUS FIRST.
"Some colleagues were still a bit unsure at first due to the new cab design. However, the fact that it provides a great all-round view and lets drivers make eye contact with other road users significantly reduces stress when driving in the city", reports Peter Watson. As a driver at GRS Group, he knows exactly what he is talking about.
Mark Starosolsky, who works as Logistics Director for the developer SCS JV on the HS2 project, adds: "GRS is a reliable partner. The Econic's low driving position makes it the safest vehicle on the market".

SMALL TURNING CIRCLE: BIG BENEFIT.
Matthew Johansson, Plant & Logistics Director of GRS Group, is thrilled with the Daimler Truck tipper vehicles: "We want to set new safety benchmarks and make our fleet more future-proof. That’s why we decided to invest more heavily in the Econic". His clear conclusion: “We believe that these trucks are the best choice for London’s urban traffic”.

In addition to the excellent all-round view, the Econic's also has a very small turning circle. This is made possible by the ENA chassis with two driven rear axles and steered trailing axle. As a result, the truck is much easier to manoeuvre through the narrow streets of the UK capital than comparable models.
Its overall high load-bearing capacity, absolute reliability and the comprehensive dealer support provided by the Daimler Truck network are yet more great benefits that come with the Econic.
