Eco with system.

Zellinger advances environmentally friendly waste disposal in Austria - with the eActros 300.

Zellinger GmbH is revolutionising waste disposal logistics with four Mercedes-Benz eActros 300. As the first waste disposal company in Upper Austria, the company relies on all-electric waste disposal vehicles that are operated with self-generated green electricity from the company’s own biogas plant - a step that sets new standards in terms of ecology and economy.

Update instead of waste.

The four new Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 from Zellinger GmbH are not just extra vehicles in the fleet: with this high-performance electric quartet, the Austrians are acting as trailblazers for the future of disposal logistics throughout the country.

Managing Director Jürgen Humer-Zellinger speaks of a “consistent step towards decarbonisation” as part of a comprehensive sustainability strategy that the company has been pursuing for some time.

In addition, Zellinger can boast of a real pioneering achievement in terms of the ecological circular economy: the company from Walding is the first waste disposal company in Upper Austria to supply its electric vehicles with self-generated electricity from biogenic waste.

Powerful with endurance.

On the municipal collection tours, the all-electric eActros 300 shows that electric mobility works just as well in everyday life as the diesel fuel drive system. And even locally emission-free.

The eActros 300 is a true powerhouse: with a continuous output of 330 kW and a peak output of 400 kW, its liquid-cooled electric motors deliver impressive performance - even for demanding disposal tasks.

With a battery capacity of 112 kWh, the e-truck offers a range of up to 300 km per charge - more than enough for daily stop-and-go traffic. There is also the rapid recovery of electrical energy via the recuperation system.

Great for municipal operations: Electrically driven winter service with the eActros 400.

From the road, for the road.

Stummer’s refuse collection bodies and the eActros 300 work hand in hand in daily use, reports Jürgen Humer-Zellinger. With their in-house biogas plant in Feldkirchen/Herzogsdorf, both get their energy 100% from what they collect: waste. “This allows us to ensure that the entire disposal process is sustainable and environmentally friendly”, explains the Managing Director.

In parallel with the vehicles, Zellinger is also investing in the charging infrastructure. The project was supported by the federal government’s e-mobility funding and forms the basis for the future expansion of the electric fleet.

We consciously invest in technology that protects and supports people and the environment.

Safer for the environment and people.

In addition to the ecological focus of the new eActros fleet, Zellinger also sets high standards in terms of safety. All vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art assistance systems, which include Sideguard Assist, Emergency Brake Assist and reversing cameras.

This technology is not only of great help to the driver, but also protects pedestrians and cyclists in urban environments, making the eActros an all-round safe partner for disposal logistics.

“For us, safety features of the highest standard are not an optional extra, but a clear hallmark of Zellinger quality”, emphasises Jürgen Humer-Zellinger. “We intentionally invest in technology that protects and supports people and the environment.”
