Superheroes of the roads.

Unmistakable Econic in Copenhagen with a rubbish mission.

Functional doesn't have to look boring. A style rule that even applies in Copenhagen to the disposal of industrial waste. The two Econic trucks from the City Container company stand out in Copenhagen's city traffic with their sector-atypical paint scheme featuring superhero details. And the interior is also anything but bog standard.

Eye candy.

The list of extras on-board the two waste disposal trucks is long – and is also somewhat of a thank-you for the hard work of those who travel in the two Econic 2630 models on a daily basis. In addition to a refrigerator, luxury leather seats, interior cab walls in cream-coloured leather and red LED lights, the trucks are equipped with stainless steel boxes for drying and warming the gloves the team use in all types of weather.

The paint scheme designed by the drivers themselves is the most striking feature of the Special Trucks. Four coats of dark blue metallic paint were applied together with silver and red accents to round off the eye-catching design.

Unbeatable in the waste disposal business.

The employees in charge of industrial waste typically used to drive the Mercedes-Benz Actros, but they heard a lot of good things about the Econic from their colleagues working in the domestic waste disposal department: the low entry and exit height is easy on the back, while the ergonomic cockpit, innovative assistance systems and the extended field of vision of the DirectVision cab enhance driving comfort and safety.

More than 625 Econic trucks are already on Denmark's roads, the majority of them for the waste management industry. "Many people in this sector say that the Econic is the best vehicle for waste collection," reports Mikael Voigt from Daimler Denmark. However, the two Econic superheroes from City Container are the first of these vehicles to be put to use in the collection of industrial waste. And they won't be the last: a third, identically designed truck will be delivered to the company in a few weeks.

1/8

Experience at City Container has shown that the more valuable a vehicle in the fleet looks, the more responsibly the employees will treat it. An advantage that will certainly pay off in the long term. A handsome resale value is secured by careful handling.
