The Econic reversing camera is automatically activated when reverse gear is engaged and transmits the image in real time to the rotating and swivelling monitor in the cab. This helps the driver when manoeuvring and reversing.

Precautionary technology: the wide angle of the Econic’s reversing camera also shows the peripheral areas behind the vehicle, helping to avoid collisions. The robust camera works in temperature ranges between -40°C and +85°C to help the driver when manoeuvring.
The eEconic has met the requirements of the European General Safety Regulation (GSR) since May 2024.

The reversing camera with monitor system is part of the standard basic equipment of the Econic. Please note: the exact position of the camera at the rear is relevant for vehicle licensing and must not be independently changed or the view obscured by detachable parts. For certain bodies, such as rear refuse collector bodies, the camera must be relocated by the body manufacturer.
