Good for budget and environment.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks remanufactured batteries for eActros and eEconic promote the circular economy.

Used batteries of the same quality as new? That's exactly what Mercedes-Benz Trucks has to offer with the CB400 remanufactured high-voltage battery. It has two major benefits: fleet operators with Mercedes-Benz eActros 300, eActros 400 and eEconic electric vehicles can not only save on spare parts, they can also reduce raw material consumption and their environmental impact as well.

The quality is in the detail.

Christian Vrbek heads the Remanufacturing Zero Emission Vehicles team at Daimler Truck. He sums up the benefits clearly: “Our remanufacturing concept significantly reduces raw materials consumption and emissions.” Remanufacturing produces around a third less CO₂ than making a new battery. Daimler Truck recycles unusable parts cleanly - other components continue life as stationary energy storage units.

Every CB400 battery is thoroughly tested, cleaned and technologically reconditioned before use. After remanufacturing, it is then as powerful and safe as a new component. This makes it an excellent addition to the Mercedes-Benz Trucks range of eTruck spare parts.

Expertise from Mannheim.

Daimler Truck has been manufacturing parts for its trucks in Mannheim for over 100 years. Today, battery technology and high-voltage systems dominate the site - which is why the plant is known for being a centre for electrical components.

Our experience is incorporated into every electric vehicle we build.

Robert Braun, Head of the Centre of Excellence for Zero-Emission Mobility

At the Centre for Zero-Emission Mobility, every used battery is dismantled into its individual parts. Every cell is measured, has a new control program installed and the package is then reassembled. After rigorous safety and function tests, the battery is returned to the truck.

Robert Braun leads the centre. He asserts: “Our experience is incorporated into every electric vehicle we build.” Furthermore, this knowledge is already being passed on to the next generation – such as the CEB500 battery for the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600.

Cost-effective maintenance for fleet operators.

Using CB400 batteries can result in substantial savings for fleets that include electric commercial vehicles. Demand for spare parts for the first generation of eActros trucks remains high, but remanufactured batteries mean that vehicles can be kept on the road for even longer. In this way, Mercedes-Benz Trucks delivers tried-and-tested technology on fair terms, with guaranteed quality and a smaller environmental footprint.
