With a wide range of different chassis for selection and standardised body interfaces, it is perfectly adapted to your tasks in inner-city construction site traffic ex works.

As a cement mixer, roll-off tipper, light and heavy duty vehicle, with or without crane attachment, the Econic is on the road worldwide. Thanks to its gross vehicle weight rating of 18 to 32 t, it can also master heavy-duty challenges. Customers can choose between a low and high cab and numerous body solutions to suit their individual needs.
Custom Tailored Trucks also fulfils special requests for special bodies and conversions of proven Mercedes-Benz quality. And as all vehicle parts come from one source, the Mercedes-Benz warranty applies in full should repairs be necessary.

Direct-Vision.
The DirectVision cab of the Econic enables optimum all-round visibility.
From the very beginning the Econic has focussed on one thing: the person. That is why its innovative DirectVision cab makes for maximum safety for all road users. Thanks to its direct view of the road and pavements, the Econic has a decided advantage over conventional trucks – because the extended view of other road users at eye level permits anticipatory driving and helps the driver to better assess high-risk situations.
New perspectives.
Once a driver himself, Nathan Hopgood tested the Econic personally. "My first thought was: 'What the hell is that?' It only took 30 minutes on the road to convince me. You can see so much more! And because you're sitting in a lower position, you are literally at eye level with cyclists and pedestrians. That is unbelievably helpful in road traffic."

Safety.
The Econic ensures greater safety with intelligent assistance systems.
Perfectly coordinated safety assistants assist when driving the Econic – in the turning lane, when reversing, in busy inner cities and when manoeuvring on construction sites. The sensor-supported Active Brake Assist emergency braking system can provide a visual and acoustic warning in the event of a risk of collision and brake automatically. It's also available with pedestrian detection* as an option. A decisive advantage on busy roads: the optional blind spot camera system* with automated display. Exterior mirror cameras as well as front and rear-view cameras can make colleagues or other road users visible in areas that are not directly visible – on a 7-inch monitor with display of up to four camera images.

Sideguard Assist 2.
Sideguard Assist can help drivers when changing lanes or turning and issues hazard warnings. To do this, the system uses radar sensors to monitor the entire driver and front passenger side. If danger is detected, a two-stage warning is triggered so that the driver can react quickly.
Frontguard Assist.
Frontguard Assist monitors the traffic area immediately in front of the Econic and supports the driver in the speed range up to 15 km/h. If the system registers moving objects such as people right in front of the vehicle with its camera and radar sensor, it can issue a two-stage hazard warning and prevent serious accidents.
Active Brake Assist 6.
Active Brake Assist 6 detects potential collisions and reacts to pedestrians and cyclists with automated full-stop braking in the speed range up to 60 km/h. The system is based on camera technology with additional radar sensors on the headlamps and to the side and can trigger a three-stage warning in the event of danger.

* *Within the system limits or within physical limits, the system can react with partial or maximum full-stop braking and is able to detect moving objects or moving pedestrians. In these traffic situations, the driver still remains fully responsible for driving the vehicle safely.
Pioneers build on that.
Confusing city traffic. Busy roads. Stressful work routines. The risk of accidents involving conventional trucks and more vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists is increasing.
The initiative Construction Logistics and Cyclists Safety (CLOCS) found and examined the causes in London before developing specific guidelines for the operation of heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Since 2020 a direct view and comprehensive ergonomic and safety standards have been compulsory in the city. A challenge for conventional trucks – a matter of course for the Econic. The Special Truck meets the safety standards of modern cities.

Ergonomics.
The Econic makes work easier with its comfortable cab.
Active occupational safety and relief for the driver and crew are supplied as standard: with LowEntry and a comfortable cab. The crew enters or leaves the vehicle using two low steps that are easy on their health. Thanks to level cross-cab access, the fully glazed folding door opens inwards and leads to the side facing away from traffic. This further minimises the risk of accident. A spring-loaded driver’s seat ergonomically protects the back and joints, while the spacious cab enables comfortable standing. Multifunctional steering wheel buttons, a clear dashboard and intuitively arranged instruments provide for the very best working conditions.
Getting in and out in comfort.
The glazed folding door opens inwards and provides access on the safer side away from the traffic. This enables upward-facing entry and exit with a forwards view. Thanks to a standing height of up to 192 cm, the driver and co-driver can also move about comfortably inside the cab.
Forward-looking.
With the instrument cluster and modern display, the driver has all important vehicle data available at a glance. The centrally positioned displays for the optional image-based safety assistance systems also allow the driver access to camera images of the vehicle surroundings. An electric roller sun blind, which can even be closed up to the level of the exterior mirrors when the cameras are in use, prevents sun glare.
Great at multitasking.
With the clear displays and intuitive instruments in the cockpit, the driver is sure to feel at home in no time! The powerful premium engine brake is, for example, activated with ease using the right-hand multi-function lever. The radio, telephone and instrument cluster are all easy to operate using the multi-function steering wheel. Controls for the body can also be integrated into the cockpit with ease, enabling the driver to directly control important functions from within the cab.
Space to be productive!
Whatever your plans for your Econic, its spacious cab offers great freedom of movement and its well-engineered design creates the best possible working conditions. Depending on the field of operation, there's room for up to three passengers. Ideal for frequent stops: When pulling away, the folding door on the passenger side closes automatically. Depending on the field of operation, a hinged door can also be installed.
