Excellent torsion.
The reinforced ladder-type frame offers excellent strength and can carry large loads on any terrain. Its high torsional flexibility is also impressive, even with heavy superstructures. The front end of the frame is designed in such a way that the truck can be lifted or towed when fully laden.
Unique freedom of movement.
Thanks to its high ground clearance and compact exterior dimensions, the Zetros masters gradients of up to 60% and angles of approach/departure of up to 35°. Thanks to a fording depth of up to 0.8 m, it can also be manoeuvred through deep water.
The outer planetary axles with cast steel bridge are extraordinarily robust and allow high axle loads. The Zetros is delivered with a spare wheel as standard, which can be stored on the frame, saving space and making it easily accessible.

Easy maintenance.
The Mercedes-Benz Zetros is based on the traditional bonnet concept with the cab positioned behind the front axle. Its foldable bonnet is particularly easy to open. This allows quick access to the engine and the standard maintenance points. The cab does not have to be cleared out or tipped and thus remains usable for passengers and equipment during maintenance.

The Zetros’ cyclone filter captures coarse dust. The engine’s intake air is pre-cleaned by a fixed impeller. Thanks to the transparent dirt container, you can always see from the outside when cleaning is needed. This can be done quickly and easily by the driver via the bonnet.

With its two-speed transfer case and high-torque six-cylinder in-line engine, it overcomes steep uphill and downhill gradients. Always powerful, with or without all-wheel drive and with a high-torque engine. Euro III compliant with up to 476 hp (344 kW), Euro V compliant with up to 510 hp (375 kW). The carefully designed cab offers the driver an excellent view of the surroundings and makes it easy to get in and out.
The most important frame variants for construction sites – including tipper vehicles and tractors – are available ex works. It is also possible to equip the Zetros with 3-way tippers, grab loaders, etc., if required over the entire vehicle length.

It’s almost always true: The direct route is the fastest. With the Zetros, emergency services are reliably on the scene in emergencies.
